Forest Along The River

July 10th, 2009

There is a a large area of beautiful forest along the Saguing river, near Kidapawan. The ground is covered with trees and other plants. The park, which is popular with the locals, is very close to the Kidapawan landmark; a great feature to the city. I think that these views look marvellous.

Aren’t They Adorable?

June 28th, 2009

Not long ago, these puppies were born at home. It didn’t take long before they were snapped up by friends, neighbours and relatives. I think that they look really sweet.

The latest pictures that I fancied for my blog are of these animals that I took in the park. I think that some of these creatures are really nice especially for children.

In the Spring, wandering around the park with the family can be an exciting adventure. One of the things I do is take pictures of these colourful blooms which I think are really nice features in the park.

This is a selection of wall and floor ceramic tiles products from Eurotiles, Philippines that are samples on display for sale in the SMA Lumber & Construction Supply shop in Lanao, a barangay of Kidapawan. I’m so glad that we were able to visit the shop as I was interested in looking for some tiles for a small project at home. Whilst there we took some pictures to be able to look at them at home and to post them here so more people would know about this great shop. If you fancy some of these beautiful designs, you can always pick up the phone and ask for information. The shop is located in Lanao, Kidapawan City. Their telephone number is 278-3450.

This picture will be familiar to many visitors who have been to Baguio before, as this is one of the most popular destinations in the city. I think that The Mansion has a lot of character. It has had an interesting history since it was built during the American colonial time. The whole building looks very interesting from the outside. It’s beautiful.

It seem like that this Elf, one of the features around the park in Saguing, near Kidapawan, is having a good time. I hope that the park attracts more visitors everyday. More visitors means more money will be collected, which can be used for making improvements in the park.

Birds That Can’t Fly

March 25th, 2009

This bird looks enormous and they have stubby wings. If you thought that all birds fly then you will find this bird very strange. Ostriches are one of the few bird species that cannot fly, which also includes penguins, emus, rheas, kiwis, and the extinct dodo. It’s a shame that they can’t fly; flying looks like it must be fun.

Craftman’s Cupboard In Kidapawan

This family-owned furniture shop in Kidapawan has been in business for many many years. It continues to grow bigger and bigger with its good quality products from germilina wood, a type of hardwood in the Philippines, which is a very popular wood that many craftsmen are using to make furniture.

Some examples of the handmade cupboards are shown here below. The prices start at P6,500. Do you think it’s expensive? I think it’s pretty reasonably priced and nicely done.
