The park and garden popular to locals between Kidapawan and Saguing, has been beautifully landscaped, including added features like a rock painting that makes it look like there is a crocodile inside it. It’s popular with visitors, especially the children, as they think it’s quite amusing.

The City of Kidapawan is looking good, apart from the exposed electric cables above. The streets in many areas have been improved. Like here, you can see that the pavement is stylish; it looks like cobblestones. There are also large plant pots along the main roads which I think are beautiful. This is what happens when everybody who is working pays tax. The money that is being paid is very useful for making improvements like putting up these decorative street lights as well.

What happened few weeks ago, was a celebration of the Kidapawan City Meet. Local schools were also invited to get involved and meet up at the city hall. Soon after that there was a parade all the way through the city centre.

There were also extra attractions like a market with lots of things to buy, which is always interesting. I think that a lot of people appreciated how all these amazing pieces of furniture had been beautifully handmade from reclaimed wood. Like these animals, if you look at them closely, they look like they’re real as all the small pieces of wood have been precisely put together. They look fantastic.

A few weeks ago, during the big celebration of Kidapawan City Meet, there was also an event where locals from various towns were allowed to display and sell their products. Loads of solid molave hardwood, which were artistically made into furniture from reclaimed wood, were one of the attractions to look at, just along the main street of the city in Quezon Boulevard. I think that these skillfully and beautifully handmade products are perfect for a patio or garden.

Swing Made Of Reclaimed Wood

These enormous swings were made by local craftsmen from reclaimed wood perfect for patio and garden. I have never seen such large furniture. Do you think it’s comfortable? I don’t mind, I think it’s beautiful. The price of this furniture ranged from P14,000 to P35,000. I think that they had been transported from M’lang, one of the towns in North Cotabato province.
These pictures were taken during Kidapawan City Meet near the Development Bank of the Philippines, Quezon Boulevard, Kidapawan.

This is one of the school parades during Kidapawan City Meet, a few weeks ago. I think that these children are happy to be here wearing their majorette uniforms. It’s quite fun.

Eva Mall, Kidapawan, is almost finished

Last July I uploaded a picture of Eva Mall that was being built along Quezon Boulevard in the centre of Kidapawan. Now, as you can see, there’s a great improvement on the whole face of the building as it’s visible that most windows are done. I wonder what ‘s on the top floor that has a red canopy, perhaps it’s a place where you can see a lot of the city. I wonder if you can get there to have a look the outside. Maybe it will be an expensive penthouse or a nice office.
I wonder what people will think when this department store is finished. I hope that security measures will be checked properly before it opens for business as it’s a high building and things can happen any time.

I’m not completely sure what are these shelters were for on the grounds of the city plaza of Kidapawan. Behind these cottages which you can’t see is the road leading to Central Mindanao Colleges. Having the trees along the road are beautiful and I hope that people will protect the trees from being cut down elsewhere. I found this picture while looking through some photos we took a few years ago. Sometimes it is really nice to see how things change.

Cars In Kidapawan Cathedral Courtyard

The area where these cars are parked used to be just plain open space overlooking the Kidapawan main road. One thing that is visible around the courtyard is the fence that has been built, which, I think its nice plus the tall trees behind are beautiful sight. I wish I knew what these trees are called.

Heavy rainfall often cause floods, which can be violent and very powerful and easily destroy properties. This fridge is being swept away from the house of the family who run a small restaurant near Datu Ingkal Bridge, Kidapawan. Sometimes life is not so easy.
