Tabili – Philippine Gliding Lizard

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Have you seen this sort of lizard before? My brother found this beautiful young animal near home. I heard that when this gliding lizard gets older; wing-like flaps of skin will start to grow from its abdomen. It's so peculiar:D

This might be a Draco Volans; a Philippine flying dragon but I'm not sure as I cannot find a picture that exactly matches it. :( The mixture of colours of its skin is fascinating.

Steaming Lake Agko

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

The resort that the locals and tourists are talking about is the steaming Lake Agko on Mt. Apo near Kidapawan. I haven't been there but I was so glad that I managed to get loads of photographs from a very good friend of mine, Ana Arne Galbo.

It's always nice to know that from Kidapawan you could actually travel from there easily to see this popular local destination. The views and various features of these attractions are beautifully landscaped; which means that it's likely that we will have more visitors coming in now and in the future to come. I think that this place is gorgeous:)

Milô In Manongol

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I don’t know what this gorgeous animal is called in English. In Cebuano, we call it Milô. They live in the jungle in Mindanao. I think he’s really cute.

Forest Along The River

Friday, July 10th, 2009

There is a a large area of beautiful forest along the Saguing river, near Kidapawan. The ground is covered with trees and other plants. The park, which is popular with the locals, is very close to the Kidapawan landmark; a great feature to the city. I think that these views look marvellous.

Aren’t They Adorable?

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Not long ago, these puppies were born at home. It didn’t take long before they were snapped up by friends, neighbours and relatives. I think that they look really sweet.

This is a selection of wall and floor ceramic tiles products from Eurotiles, Philippines that are samples on display for sale in the SMA Lumber & Construction Supply shop in Lanao, a barangay of Kidapawan. I’m so glad that we were able to visit the shop as I was interested in looking for some tiles for a small project at home. Whilst there we took some pictures to be able to look at them at home and to post them here so more people would know about this great shop. If you fancy some of these beautiful designs, you can always pick up the phone and ask for information. The shop is located in Lanao, Kidapawan City. Their telephone number is 278-3450.

It seem like that this Elf, one of the features around the park in Saguing, near Kidapawan, is having a good time. I hope that the park attracts more visitors everyday. More visitors means more money will be collected, which can be used for making improvements in the park.

This family-owned furniture shop in Kidapawan has been in business for many many years. It continues to grow bigger and bigger with its good quality products from germilina wood, a type of hardwood in the Philippines, which is a very popular wood that many craftsmen are using to make furniture.

Some examples of the handmade cupboards are shown here below. The prices start at P6,500. Do you think it’s expensive? I think it’s pretty reasonably priced and nicely done.

Just outside Kidapawan City centre, lies this area of land for sale, which is probably a good long term investment for property development. I think that this place is really nice as it’s not very close to the main road. Building a house here would be superb as the scenery looks excellent as well. I would be very happy if I had the chance to live in the countryside like this, where it’s peaceful and quiet.
